Account Associate
Ohio State's The PRactice | August 2020-Present
As an account associate with The PRactice, I have been given the opportunity to represent and provide solutions to local and national clients. Some of my responsibilities include handling media relations, creating media lists, developing and designing marketing campaigns, and controlling the clients’ social media. I have loved building relationships with my clients, interpreting their needs, and helping them to reach new goals.
Communication & Events Intern
Ohio Environmental Council | August 2019-June 2020
Working with the Ohio Environmental Council was one of my most rewarding experiences to date. During my time at the OEC, I was able to assist with the organization and planning of major fundraising events, including their 50th annual Green Gala. Throughout the planning process, I was tasked with handling the organization’s communication with donors—whether it be in person, through email, or over the phone. I spent time researching, summarizing, and archiving important data for the organization. I also created graphics that would be used for invitations, brand representation, and public outreach. I wrote speeches that would be presented at the Green Gala, and was eventually offered the opportunity to be promoted to the communications department. In the communications department, I continued to create graphics, as well as social media posts. I also wrote and edited newsletters, blog posts, and E-Blasts. When COVID-19 hit during my time at the OEC, I was forced to transition to remote work. However unfortunate these circumstances proved to be, the time that I spent out of office allowed for me to develop the skills necessary to work in an independent, fast-paced, and remote environment.
