Fashion is an industry that I have always been interested in. In fact, my first-ever dream job was to become a Parisian fashion designer. The idea lost a bit of its luster once I realized that I could not become Parisian. Nonetheless, my love for design and clothes has continued to grow.

I have worked in retail for the past nearly six years. In high school, I became heavily interested in sustainability, and upon further research, I discovered many of the ties between environmental issues, women’s issues, and the fashion industry. Below I have attached some of the resources that educated me on the grave consequences of fast fashion.

The True Cost

“Filmmaker Andrew Morgan travels around the globe to see the people who make clothes for the world’s fashion".”

This film opened my eyes to the impact that our fashion and spending habits can have on the rest of the world. I highly recommend this film and would love to discuss it.
